      In area, the Russian Federation is the largest country in the world. Its total area is 17075400 square kilometers.
Russia is multinational country (more than 100 nationalities) with population about 144 million people. 82% of the population are Russian. Tatares are on the second place, than Ukrainians, Chuvashes, Bashkirs, Mordovians, Byelarussians, Germans. Chechenos, and others.
      We don't know exactly about the historical origin of Russian people. The former tribes of Slavs, Khazars and others were united by Moscow princes.
      Russians are tolerate to other nationalities. For example, Stalin was Georgian; nowadays a German E. Rossel is a governor of the Sverdlovsk region. He was elected by people. The total area of the Sverdlovsk region is a half of the total area of Germany.
      The density of population is different in various territories. In the Moscow area population density is the highest: 300 persons on square kilometer. In Yakutia, on the average on 1 person it is necessary 5 square km of the ground.
      The area of Yakutia in 5.7 times exceeds the area of all France.
      The climate in Russia varies from arctic in the North to continental in the central part and subtropical in the South. The average temperature of January varies from -1 C till -50 C. The average temperature of July varies from +1 till +25 C.
      That's why Russia is very different in its population and geography.
